PRIVATE COOKING LESSONS
“Anyone can cook!”—Ratatouille
“American food is anything you eat at home.”—James Beard
It’s my firm belief that everyone has the capability to be a cook. If you can read a recipe, I know you’ve got it within you to make completely satisfying dishes that cost less than their restaurant counterparts but don’t skimp on taste.
In New York, the land of takeout and closet-sized kitchens, this seems like an uphill battle. But it’s not impossible and I’m here to help.
So whether you’d like to
- brush up on your knife skills
- perfect a pie crust and become a pastry whiz once and for all
- learn a few tips and tricks for versatile, easy weeknight meals
- master kitchen basics like blanching, sautéing, poaching, and frying
- or gain confidence in any other culinary area
I can put you on the right path. Choose from one of my cooking workshops or talk to me about a custom class to help you build your skills. I’m an enthusiastic and patient teacher who’s always excited to share my knowledge of all things edible.
I’ll come to your home and work with you one-on-one to build your culinary repertoire or just get you more comfortable in your own kitchen.
Private lessons are $100 per person for a three-hour session. I’ll also do group classes—grab a few girlfriends or make it a couples night—and will help you plan special menus for dinner parties or other events.
Contact me and we’ll schedule a session that suits your budget and needs.
