The Ukulele Alphabet: Tourist by Miranda Lambert
Letter T, Week 2
“Tourist” by Miranda Lambert
Here’s one for the road trip playlist.
And it’s a fitting song for the week that we picked up our brand-new dream car (a Subaru, obviously, we stay on-brand in this household). And, as is our tradition, we needed to take it immediately on a little adventure. Otherwise they take your Subie Status badge away!
So I suggested, “why don’t we go eat hot dogs and then I can find a spot to play ‘Tourist’?”
We drove out to Davy’s Hot Dogs and Grill, where we met Davy, admired the hand-hewn Swiss chalet building, ate a reuben dog and pierogies (me) and a burger and fries (Dan), and hopped over to Lake Hopatcong for a quick song.
See, you can be a tourist even in your own neck of the woods if you really want to!
That’s my challenge for you this week: go be a tourist in a spot near you and report back.
