A Good Time: My Life and Business Manifesto
“I get up every morning determined both to change the world and to have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning the day difficult.” – EB White
As a squiggly-brained creative person,* I’ve had a lot of trial and error with finding a system of habits that work for me. Like, decades of experimenting.
After years of bossing myself around building a one-person food media empire, I often found it difficult to find the joy in the mundane: making dinner, keeping the routines of life together, dealing with the “little things” that accumulate.
It’s not a particularly new or revolutionary problem: we’re expected to do and remember everything, to be a living database with perfect recall. And that can be a fun party trick when you suddenly bust out the entire theme song of “Tiny Toon Adventures” on demand.

But it can, in the words of our confessional queen Taylor Swift, be ex-hausting when it comes to getting through the day-to-day of things.
That’s why I feel it’s absolutely crucial that we all seek out ways to bring more fun and adventure into our lives — frankly, to make sure we have a good time every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
And that’s where my zone of genius comes in. Creativity and aesthetics + organization and planning = CASEY BRAIN. I’m here to make your life easier and more fun, with systems and experiences to support you.
My time in the trenches of productivity and list-making can guide you into a less-stressed-and-pressed plane of existence. You can spend less time worrying about dentist appointments and grocery lists and whether or not you already scheduled the cat-sitter for next month, and to remember that you’re a freaking awesome person who is worthy of your time.
I want you to feel confident that you have a life support system backing you up so you can feel free to do whatever lights you up. Whether that’s savoring a box of Cheez-Its while taking a bubble bath, bingeing three hours of Bardot Brush Procreate tutorials (just me?), or finally learning “Bohemian Rhapsody” on piano is up to you.
I believe that systems should be like water: flowing, fluid, and frictionless, yet strong enough to wear the grooves of habits into our lives.
But there’s no one-size-fits-all system; the best ones are customized to your own cadence. My passion is helping you discover the tools that work with your rhythms — finding the places where you can put the brain on autopilot so it has space for inspiration and enjoyable experimentation.
Your systems can be a set of 10 foolproof, could-make-’em-in-my-sleep recipes you know no one is going to complain about eating. They can be a travel capsule wardrobe or an always-packed toiletry kit so you have fewer decisions to make next time you’re ready to hit the road. They can be having a list of all the things you buy at the grocery store every. single. trip. at the ready on your phone.
When you’re not overthinking it, you’re putting yourself in the mindset to find magic in the mundane. You’re opening up time in your life to enjoy the little things that do matter. (Like noticing the Frenchie who always sleeps in the bay window along your morning walking route.)
It might be a little woo-woo, but I’m absolutely serious about it. Because fun is something to take seriously.
Come join me in this collaborative adventure and see what opens up for you.
